On September 11, 1989, Brian Dion Easley, Sr. was born from the union of Erica Hollins and George Easley, Jr. in Los Angeles, California.

Brian was educated in the Bay-Waveland school district and graduated from Bay High School in 2008. He had a range of talents and hobbies which included cooking, drawing, dancing and playing basketball. From a very young age, Brian’s been a huge Star Wars enthusiast, evident by his large collection of Star Wars memorabilia. His Star Wars collection wasn’t the only large thing Brian possessed. If you were ever graced by his presence, you will have witnessed that infectious laugh and big, unforgettable smile!

Brian began showcasing his basketball talents on the court in elementary school. He later became affectionately known to many as “6’9” or “6”; a name given to him during his younger years on the courts where he played at the VCJ by Coach Eric Nichols, aka “Bottoe”. Brian was a devoted player of the Bay High Tigers basketball team where he was greatly inspired by Coach Kelton Thompson, and he continued during his college years at Pearl River Community College.

Brian enjoyed eating as much as he enjoyed cooking! Employed at the Silver Slipper Casino in Bay St. Louis for 14 years, his passion for cooking led to a promotion as Sous Chef.

Son, Brother, Uncle, Companion, Friend. Brian was many things in his short time with us. His greatest, perhaps; was Father.

His children were the light of his life. The light in his life. It’s been said he was a “real daddy, real love…completeness”. He was amazing. We were all lucky and better for knowing him.

Brian departed this world on October 26, 2023, at the age of 34. Preceding him in death were his grandfathers: Daniels Hollins and George Easley, Sr.

Left to cherish his memory: his mother, Erica Hollins; father, George W. (Nancy) Easley, Jr., daughter, Emilee (Crystal) Easley; son, Brian Easley, Jr., (Megan; Nevaeh, Gia and Jaydis Jackson); two brothers: George W. Easley III, and Courtney (Stefanie) Easley; two sisters: Juanita Easley and Whitney Easley; godmother, Taaya Dawson; six Nieces and six Nephews and hosts of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends.

Forever Remembered, Forever Missed.

Revelation 21:4

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.
