Pamela Ann Martin, 65, a beloved mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away suddenly on January 30, 2024.  Born on April 9, 1958, in Gulfport, Mississippi, she brought joy and light into the lives of all who knew her.

Pamela worked as a 411 Operator for Southern Bell Telephone Company in Gulfport, Mississippi, in 1984.  In 1985, she transferred to AT&T as a Long Distance Operator in Atlanta, Georgia, and transferred to Jacksonville, Florida, where she later retired in 2009.  She returned to Gulfport, Mississippi in 2019, where she was a dedicated member of St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church.

Pamela touched the lives of many with her warm smile and genuine care for others.  She was a loving mother and grandmother, who was full of life.  Pamela loved cooking for her family and decorating.  Her compassionate nature extended beyond her family, as she always showed kindness to everyone she encountered.

A fashionable and talented individual, Pamela had a passion for cosmetology and sought to be a hair stylist.  Whether she was decorating or cooking, she poured her heart into everything she did.  One of Pamela's exceptional gifts was her beautiful singing voice that never failed to captivate those fortunate enough to hear it.

Pamela was preceded in death by parents, Walter and Laval Martin; brothers: Vandyke, Miller, Linzs Miller, and Aaron Martin; sister, Quanda Miller; and grandmother, Matilda Thomas.

Pamela had an immense love for family and friends, who meant the world to her.  Among those who mourn her are a son, Andre Dawson; grandchildren: Camryn, Kai, Christian, Kayden, and Cobi Dawson; brother, Michael Martin; sister, Marsha Smith; as well as a host of other relatives and close friends.

Pamela will be sorely missed by all those whose lives she touched.  Her legacy of love, kindness, and compassion will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends.  As we say our final goodbyes, let us remember the light she brought into our lives and carry it forward in her honor.  May her soul find eternal solace in the embrace of heaven's angels.

“He Gives Strength to The Weary and Increases the Power of The Weak.”

Isaiah 40:2
