Lataya Johnson is the Founder and President of Remembrance Mortuary Services, LLC, a family-owned and operated business since 2019. Lataya was born and raised in Rosedale, MS. She is a graduate of Rosedale High School. Lataya is also an Alumni of Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science Decatur, GA, where she obtained a A.S. Degree in Mortuary Science, Alumni of Ashford University where she obtained an A.A. Degree in Business administration and Human Resource Management with the concentration of Criminal Justice, and a B.A. in Business Administration and Human Resource Management obtained from Strayer University. At the early age of 5, she developed a passion for funeral service with the vision of owning her own funeral home one day. She credits her early foundation and knowledge of the funeral industry to Redmon Funeral Home in Greeneville, MS.

Lataya is a member of the Rotary of Pass Christian, Louisiana Funeral Directors and Morticians Association, National Funeral Directors and Morticians Association, Inc., Tuskegee Airman, INC., Order of Eastern Star Pride of Baton Rouge # 115, Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice, and a member of First Missionary Baptist Church of Pass Christian. Lataya is a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in Mississippi and Louisiana; and also, a Licensed Life Insurance Producer in Louisiana in Mississippi.
